Reminiscing...

I love reading blogs of friends and family and decided I might try blogging again. Even if no one else reads it, it will be a partial history for me. Sunday dinner with kids and grandkids is always a fun, noisy affair. We eat, and visit...but always end up playing games. Our latest favorite is "Five Crowns". As the kids leave in the evening, I am grateful for family. And I am brought back to my own childhood family, and I have fond remembrances. Farm life, ice skating on a frozen pond, reading, star watching together, evening summer games-"No bears are out tonight", "Kick the Can" and many more.

Grandmother's 80th Birthday Party

We went to St. George to celebrate my Mom's 80th birthday. 20 grandchildren were there as well as all 17 great grandchildren. Her favorite color is pink...so all gifts were either pink or wrapped in pink. During the 2 weeks prior, she received over 80 birthday cards. We had family games and activities at the church. Relatives came from California, North Carolina, Indiana, Arizona, Iraq, Idaho, Utah and Colorado. We had a great time!
